That you ever heard of…like 150 in 55 would be a 95mph difference, etc.

The reason I ask is that once (years ago) in H.S. I got clocked on my ported and chambered Kawasaki H2-750 doing 141 in a 45 (Don’t worry it was a deserted country road frequented by racers with no intersections so I wasn’t putting anyone in danger…except myself of course..lol) while racing another motorcycle…the other guy turned off a side road after we were done racing and i continued straight and ran into the cops who had by then (seeing 141mph and 125mph on their radar and hearing my H2 screaming) had setup a road block…I thought I was going to get a huge ticket but after much discussions among themselves and bringing in what I took was a shift commander they decided since one the bikes they were clocking got away they couldn’t prove which one I was…I figured they’d just give me the 125 mph ticket but they decided they couldn’t for some reason…so after a stern talking to I went on my way…141mph in a 45 clocked on radar and I walked (well rode)…lol

Is there anything I can do to contest it?

They were not stationary, does that affect anything? Are they allowed to use the radar calculations even though they were moving in the opposite direction?

Also, how much is a speeding ticket? I was going 34 in a 25, in California

I’m sorry I’ve never seen a moving radar before, usually cops just post up somewhere and gun people down. I was only wondering because I know that doppler radar has a margin for error, and I was wondering if it increased to a significant degree when you add the speed of their vehicle going in the opposite direction.

i got a "speeding ticket" by going 50 on the street. i know i wasn’t going 50 so after showing insurance and stuff i asked the cop to show me the radar gun. he said ok but never did. i want to fight this ticket but i don’t think i will win because its his word against mine. but i heard that they cant give you a ticket using the radar gun unless there is a sign posted somewhere saying radar enforced or something. Is that true? I always see the cops in motorcycles on that street all the time and ive never seen a sign. and by the way this is in california.

I got a speeding ticket In goodyear, Az today anyone know some tips that correspond in getting by arizona law……it was a motorcycle cop he used his radar on me and got me at 67 on a 45 then said he got me again at 65….I read some of arizona’s statutes(laws) one guy from work said i can ask to see the records of when was the last time the radar gun was calibrated and what was the temperature and psi of the cops tires,,, pls help me out need any tips….I’ve only had one other speeding ticket which i got a month b4 but other than that i’ve had a clean record…there was no ppl or cars around me at the time and it was an open road
I’ve never been to court im only 19 but most ppl have been their by this age and i dont know how that works…so when i go to court i plead not guilty and then if i loose appeal to the decision and hope for the best? does the court charge me for any of this? I dont want to spend more than 4 which is the cost of my ticket

‘I was reading the Valentine One radar detector manual and it said that "radar cannot detect you from the side" so i was wondering if that could be true. Though i see cops all the time sitting by the side of highways and streets that are perpendicular to the road with their guns on?

The other day I got pulled over for speeding. Three weeks later I go online to lowestpricetrafficshool.com and another .gov site to pay my fine and go to driving school online. Both sites say that they are not able to find my citation number, so I thought that I would view my drivers license record to see anything in the past and still nothing showed up.

Basically both websites cannot find my ticket and im 100% sure of that. What should I do?

Just fyi: I got pulled over by a 2 cops standing in the median behind their motorcycle with a radar gun. It was one of those things where there are no computers involved unlike when u get pulled over by a cop car

I have heard that you are supposed to ask to see the radar that tracks your speed, but I dont understand. How does this help you? What do you do when a police car or a motorcycle without a radar pulls you over? I’m not looking to beat the system or anything, haha, I am just curious.
ALSO: what do you do if they refuse to show you the radar, or whatever other devices they use to track your speed?
I know of several people who have had officers put down speeds about 5 mph faster than they were really driving, and they never asked to see the radar or whatever, so i am just curious if they tell you one thing than show you another what can happen. And i have heard of people’s charges being dropped if the office wont show them the radar. And for that matter what would stop an officer from saying you were going like 90 when you werent? I know they obviously wouldnt do this, but what do police have to do to prove you were going the speed you were going
I understand cops are doing their jobs just like everyone else, I dont believe mentioned anything that would suggest I didnt feel this way or had any animosity towards police officers.

I had already gotten a ticket in april and wiped it clean with traffic school so now this isn my rec. as 1 point. My question is the cops that were conducting the speed trap were in a location of a appartment complex and they had all cars hidden in parking lot and were on foot with one motorcycle cop with his wireless radar proped up against the building clocking people i totally did not see any car or cops until about the last 200 feet because the ran on the street waving hands for me to pull over in the parking lot of complex, Now i think that is Entrapment am i wrong? if so i need to know not to fight this lame traffic ticket. Are there any radar detectors that also include a laser jammer? I know most cops are starting to use laser instead of radar. It would be pointless for me to get a radar detector if I don’t get a laser jammer as well. But how does it work?…..Do you need to get both installed? And does anyone have any experience with theses? Thanks for the help.

Hey, i bought a Valentine One and when i was driving on "A" mode, my radar was detecting only fakes signals, like Ralfs , Mcdonald etc. But when the cop was right in front of me V 1 didnt react. I tried all modes And still , no raction to the cops (and a lot of fakes signals). Does someone knows what heppening with cops radars? And any suggestions?

Cops are not using X band where I lived. Many times, it’s really annoyed to hear it go off frequently. I just wish that manufacturer just stop using this obsolete X band on its latest model.

I want something that will keep the cops from getting my speed at least till I have time to slow down.

Because I have been told that radar detectors don’t work good because of instant on.

Which radar detector would I be better off with, I live in Houston and have lots of red light cameras and laser is what most of the cops use down here. I was looking at this website at http://www.RadarReviews.Net and it was a big help, I was just curious what you guys all used?
